The new Gigaset A400 offers telephony in proven Gigaset quality at an attractive price. Its generous and clear design is focused on ease of use – and has captured a red dot design award. Its features also include a hands-free function and environmentally-friendly ECO DECT technology.
Harmonious lines and a black-and-silver skin are the hallmark of the Gigaset A400, which is particularly geared to ensuring ease of use with a 1.7-inch illuminated display, a high-quality keypad and a functional 4-way navigation key.
A convenient hands-free function with a five-level volume control is also integrated. The phonebook has space for up to 80 entries, and the last 25 calls are stored along with the number or name of the other party and the time of the call. To enable speed dialing, up to nine numbers can be stored under the numerical keys 0 and 2-9. The Gigaset A400A model includes an answering machine that can record up to 25 minutes of messages and is easy to control on the handset or at the base station; messages can also be accessed remotely.
Long standby and talk times of up to 220 and 20 hours respectively and power-saving ECO DECT technology ensure economical operation – at under 0.4 watts in standby. The Gigaset A400 is also particularly low-radiation. The handsets reduce transmitting power in keeping with their distance from the base station. In ECO mode, the transmitting power of the base station and handset is reduced by 80 percent even during calls. If ECO Plus mode is enabled, the phone is radiation-free in standby mode.
